Court interpreting in Poland in the light of directive 2010/64/EU. The state of the art and challenges for the future

Abstract
In this paper, the current situation of court interpreting in Poland is subjected to an analysis in the context of the provisions of Directive on the right to interpretation and translation in criminal proceedings, which are binding for all Member States. In the light of the Community's requirements, normative regulation of the profession, courts' demand for interpreter services, court interpreter training and quality of court interpretation are discussed.
